I'm certain there will be more CGI effects than the previous films. It's just the way it's done these days. It's too expensive and time-consuming to build huge sets. I have a feeling Ridley will get it right though.

The question I have as an avid fan of the series, is Scott going to use CGI effects? I hope not too much. A little is okay. But looking at James Cameron Avatar looks a bit on the fake side. In fact many more film directors turning to computer graphics seem to have films that look less and less real. Hence the new Star Wars films. My suggestion is that you have an orginal ship (prior to the mining ship), land on LV427 and fight off a few aliens, having only one survivor (ash - the science officer), who then returns later in Alien with Ripley. You can also include where this alien craft came from. But all in all, Ridley Scott will get it right. He has to get this series fixed! I hope!
